Mystery Stamping Hour

I've been having great fun coming up with Mystery Stamping Hour events.  We've held three so far in the last couple of months.  I hope to make them a regular event.  To date, I have borrowed the card ideas from other Stampin' Up! demonstrators - Tina Zinck, Joanne B Perry, and Sharon Armstrong.   Big kudos to these ladies for sharing their ideas with others.

Mystery Stamping Hour events can take many different forms -- I do mine two-fold.  The "clues" or instruction steps are posted in the FB event (scheduled) for anyone to follow along with.  PLUS I hold a ZOOM meeting where those who want to craft with others can follow along with the posted steps - I share my screen.    It is SO much fun to see everyone's card at the end - no two are alike and I just LOVE that about this process.   And the BEST part of these stamping events, you actually get to USE UP those craft supplies you have in your craft room!  :D     These events have allowed me to ink up some stamp sets that I had not had a chance to use yet, papers that I hadn't opened.  It's been great!!!

Let's get you caught up on all the creativity that has been happening!
October 1st was the EARLY World Cardmaking Day Mystery Stamping event -
These were the cards that I made from Tina Zinck's card design:

THEN, we held another Mystery Stamping Event on Oct 22 and we followed along with Joanne B Perry's card idea.  These are the cards I made:

As you can see, I'm having a whale of a good time with these Mystery Stamping Events!!  I hope that you will join in for the next one.  I'd love to "see" you!!!

I hope you enjoyed your visit today and that you'll come back another time to see what I've managed to put together to show you.   In the meantime, join us in the Anything Goes Crafts Community FB group for some fun and perhaps you'd like to share what you've created with us.

Forever Greenery

What do you do when your training group wants you to post your blog address and you're embarrassed because you haven't posted anything lately?  You do a blog post so there is something current to look at!!

𝒲𝐸𝐿𝒞𝒪𝑀𝐸 (back) to the 𝓐𝓷𝔂𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓖𝓸𝓮𝓼 𝓒𝓻𝓪𝓯𝓽𝓼 blog. :D

I haven't been very active lately in my craft room.  Have you had a chance to be creative?

The whole Covid-19 pandemic had me concentrating more on my full-time job than my side-gig with Anything Goes Crafts - I just didn't have the mental energy for much more.

I did create some cards with some of our Anything Goes Crafts team a few weeks ago.  Under the tutelage of our demo friend, Jen Z, we made 4 cards with various fun-folds over a zoom meeting.  It was a lot of fun.  I did realize though that, usually I'm the instructor in these class situations and I'm a very, very slow student.  I had to finish my cards after class was over. Maybe I was just out of practice? LOL

Using the Forever Fern and Tasteful Touches stamp sets along with the Forever Greenery DSP and the Forever Flourishing Dies, I was able to create these four cards.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today and that you'll come back another time to see what I've managed to put together to show you.   In the meantime, join us in the Anything Goes Crafts Community FB group for some fun and perhaps you'd like to share what you've created with us.

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time,
I hope you enjoy lots of crafty moments!

Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

It was a great 2019 at Anything Goes Crafts with Cathy, let's continue on into 2020.

I hosted a New Year's Stampin' Style BINGO afternoon in late December.  Such a good time with lots of laughs.  And the prizes that were given away?  wow!  We had some happy winners.

Not only did we play 6 games of BINGO with prizes, but there are also door prizes including FREE registration for the next BINGO event AND the one that everyone wants to win:  The EXTRA Bingo prize draw.   I take all the money from the attendees purchasing additional bingo cards and draw a ticket from those that participated in the EXTRA Bingo activities.  Whoever's name gets drawn, they get to purchase that amount of Stampin' Up!® products with me as their Stampin' Up!® demonstrator.  This past event we had $125 worth of extra tickets sold.  WooHoo!  Our stamping friend Ann was very happy indeed that her name was chosen.

Ann's money went even further, as we waited until Sale-A-Bration (SAB) started to place the order so that she could get TWO Free products to go along with her prize winnings.  She did end up paying the shipping and HST to get the extra products but that was her choice and I think it was a very wise one.

Have you seen the latest offerings for the 2020 Sale-A-Bration event?  If not, contact me today for your copy of the MINI catalogue and the SAB brochure.   Or check them out online:

SAB - click here.

No surprise but we also make paper-craft projects (cards and 3-D items) at each BINGO event.
This time, we made a calendar with a spot for a note pad and pen.

It was a great chance to celebrate the New Year with this cute card that used the now-retired Mercury Glass Designer Acetate Sheets and both the Sip Sip Hooray and the Cheers to That stamp sets and dies -- CHEERS! I truly hope that your 2020 is a great year!!

Every attendee also gets a goody bag.  This time it included this awesome Distressed Red Tin -- perfect for keeping all sorts of goodies in.  It's big enough to put cards in, just sayin'.   So we decorated it with some ribbon and made a magnet decoration to go with it.

And of course, since I wanted to use some of the new products from the NEW Mini Catalogue and SAB brochure, I decided to make a Valentine's Day Card.   It's a fun fold card.

I hope that you'll be able to join us for the next Stampin' Style Bingo.  Rumour has it that it's being planned for March 22 but the hall has not been finalized yet.  That's the tail end of March break here in Nova Scotia.

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time,
I hope you enjoy lots of crafty moments.
