Popping in again

I do seem to just pop in and out on a very sporadic basis on this blog.   Sorry, but life has a way of just passing by, doesn't it?!

Tax season (my full time job) was busy as usual but I've been able to keep up the monthly card classes that I put on.  It's a wonderful excuse to "have" to create.  AND  I love getting together with "the ladies".  A couple of the ladies come pretty well every month, a couple more every couple of months and today, a special lady came who hasn't been in awhile.  It sure was nice to see her.  Anytime you want to join us, I would love to see you, too!

I think today we should get caught up with the cards created for the January 2016 card class.

I guess you could call the January class a "CASE the Catty" class because 3 of the 4 designs were CASED from ideas from the Handmade from the Heart Occasions Stampin' Up! Catalogue (no longer current).

Specifically, we were getting ready for VALENTINE's Day and I was showcasing the Love Blossoms page of the catalogue.

The Blooming Heart Thinlits Dies and the Bloomin' Love stamp set carried over to the 2016-2017 annual catalogue.   It is a beautiful intricate die and the flowers in the stamp set are a really nice size.
This is the card in the new catalogue that features this set:
so the picture quality isn't the best.  It's hard to see the white on white.

Even the blushing bride glimmer paper is available in the current catalogue (such a lovely colour -- and that coming from someone who purports to not like the colour pink.... it must be growing on me since starting to make cards lol).    Unfortunately, the embellishment kit didn't make the annual catty.

Not everything is the same as the catalogue pic - I can only handle so much pink so... I changed one of the cards into a blue birthday card with the sentiment 'wish big'.

And the punch art panda?  well, that was a special request from a regular attendee for her friend that was having a birthday.   Since I didn't have any panda stamp sets:  I googled. I searched pinterest. and this is the card I designed from that research and the supplies and tools that I had in my craft room.  Apparently, the friend loved it.. yay!

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time...Happy Stamping!
